Education

The National Center for Autism Research and Education will offer a private school designed to meet the specific needs of individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders.  All teachers will be highly credentialed according to the California Department of Education requirements.  We will have a Speech and Language Therapist, an Occupational Therapist, a Adaptive Physical Education Teacher and a Resourse Specialist on staff to assist students with their needs according to their IEP.

The specialized educational program is developed according to each individual’s specific need.  Proven educational methods, liike TEACCH and PECS will be utilized to achieve goals within the classroom.  The student to staff ratio will be 3:1, with a highly qualified teacher and trained assistant leading each class. Class size will vary from 6 to 10 students based on enrollment and the specific needs of the students.

This integrated eduactional system is unlike anything else offered in the region.  Through unique design and cutting edge programming, the non-public school at the National Center for Autism Research and Education will set the standard in educating individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders.
